Partnering With the FCC to Expand Telehealth During the COVID-19 Crisis and Beyond

Brendan Carr, a commissioner with the Federal Communications Commission, explains how hospitals and health systems can take advantage of new funding opportunities initiated by the FCC to expand broadband connectivity and improve telehealth adoption. Carr details how the $100 million Connected Health Pilot Program and, more recently, the $200 million COVID-19 Telehealth Program are giving healthcare providers much-needed support to launch and expand innovative telehealth programs tackling both Coronavirus and non-Coronavirus care. He also explains how programs like this will position rural and urban providers for telehealth momentum after the emergency.
